Six Short Stories
Horror × 4, Fantasy × 2
Most of my writing that has gone out into the world is via translation. Business documents and websites, video games and game developer interviews, data books for popular media franchises, manga and novels. However, I do also write fiction as time permits. Below are six short stories I would love more people to read.
I don’t think of myself as a horror writer, but most of the stories I’ve polished up have been along those lines: science-fiction horror, fairy-tale horror, sword-and-sorcery horror and even Western horror (think Cowboys & Aliens). If any of that sounds like your kind of thing, check out the stories in the banner link below:
My first love, maybe my true love, is fantasy: epic fantasy, high fantasy, sword-and-sorcery, anything along those lines. Here’s a work of flash fiction on Medium:
I also have a fantasy story on Short-Story.Me. A knight visits a cathedral to gaze on its architecture, play the magnificent pipe organ, and reflect on life, love and spiritual longing. More mood than action, it’s partially inspired by John Dryden’s poem “Song for St. Cecilia’s Day”:
“But oh! What art can teach,
What human voice can reach
The sacred organ’s praise?
Notes inspiring holy love,
Notes that wing their heavenly ways
To mend the choirs above.”
If you’re on Medium and reading content such as the above, then chances are you’re also writing it. Feel free to drop me a comment directing me to your work, even if it’s in other genres. I read all over the place.
